British Sign Language service

We now provide British Sign Language video interpreter service, via InterpretersLive!, provided by Sign Solutions and available Mon-Fri, 09:00-17:00.

NB If your phone runs on iOS you'll first need to download the free StarLeaf app - instructions below. Note, too, that in order for us to call you via InterpretersLive! - for example if you've left us a voice message requesting a call back - you will need to have StarLeaf app downloaded.

  1. Download the app here
  2. Register with your email address.
  3. StarLeaf will send you an email containing a 6-digit code.
  4. Add your full name.
  5. You should be able to skip the screens asking for phone number and work organisation.
  6. Once you're in, click on the phone icon and enter "" and select ‘Make a video call’. An interpreter will then answer and connect your call.

Priority Services Register

If you live in the green or blue areas, we can sign you up to your local priority services register if you're over 60 or you rely on electricity for medical or mobility reasons or you have a hearing or visual impairment or a long-term health condition.
