Help us eliminate cold homes
Every day our energy advisors work hard to save people energy and money. They also offer crisis support.
As energy prices increased, we heard from more and more people struggling to afford warmth, often having to make tough decisions between heating or eating.
You can help us by donating or simply raising awareness of our extensive energy advice. The more people we reach, the more we can help.
If you can, here’s how a donation can help
We will use your donation where it’s needed most to help people in fuel poverty.
Our advisors tackle the root causes of fuel poverty – cold homes, low incomes and high energy bills – supporting over 15,000 households each year.
We provide emergency practical and emotional support to people in complex situations, resolving immediate crisis and giving them the mental space to engage with our energy advice. This helps avoid future challenges.
Your donation will help us provide…
- Emergency support
We distribute prepayment meter vouchers and other emergency payments to help people in crisis keep the heating on. We also provide winter warmth packs containing a thermos flask, thick socks, warm hat, wind-up torch and fleece gloves. - Energy saving advice
We talk to people to help them understand how to use their heating systems properly and how they can use less electricity and gas to save money. - Skilled advice and support
Our trained team provide highly skilled, in-depth, tailored advice to people in crisis. This covers managing debt, energy saving and accessing benefits.

Insights into our advice service
You can help people like Linda and Andy. A hard-working couple in their golden years who were without a working boiler or hot water. They relied on a boiled kettle to provide their basic needs like washing and keeping warm.
Despite receiving a modest state and private pension, it wasn’t enough to fix their boiler and provide them with enough warmth to keep them healthy. Unfortunately, both Linda and Andy have severe medical conditions that make living in a cold home especially uncomfortable (at best) and dangerous at worst.
Our advisors organised practical and emotional support. Thanks to their involvement, Linda and Andy now have a new heating system, more financial freedom and a better quality of living. Read their full story.
