A slow cooker workshop is an opportunity to get the community together to have a chat, share some food and talk about energy saving tips. As you use the slow cooker, you can highlight the benefits of slow cooking as a way to save energy at home (especially if they have an electric oven as slow cookers are cheaper to run).

While people wait for their free hot meal, there’s plenty of time to talk more broadly about energy. During events run by CSE, we’ve overheard people talking to each other about smart meters, tips for thrifty energy use and their gripes about single glazing.

Our free guide sets out how you can set up your own event.
