CSE wins retrofit award for home improvement services
This award recognises the hard work of our retrofit team, Futureproof, and the services offered to improve energy efficiency in homes and buildings and through grant-funded work. For years CSE has been working to scale up retrofit services by working with local authorities on funded schemes and with households to support self-funded home improvement journeys.
Retrofitting buildings has multiple benefits and is a vital step in CSE’s mission to tackle cold homes and reach net zero targets. Building improvements will effectively insulate people from future energy price increases, tackle fuel poverty, stimulate local economies and support new skilled jobs in the building trades.
Ian Preston, Director of Household Energy Services at CSE, says ‘As the only third-sector organisation nominated for this award it proves that CSE is providing valuable work in the retrofit space. Our Futureproof team delivers successful home retrofit work, stimulates local supply and demand for low-carbon retrofit and provides homeowners with bespoke advice and connects them with skilled building contractors. Our services help to tackle two big problems in the UK: rising energy prices and the urgent need to reduce emissions.’
