CSE event at Bristol City Hall, 1 November

13 October 2017

CSE is partnering in an innovative event, to be held on1 November at Bristol's City Hall, at which the city’s charities, organisations and businesses will discuss how to ensure that no Bristol resident suffers a cold home.

Click here to go to the Eventbrite page for booking.

The event will be hosted by Mayor of Bristol, Marvin Rees, and the other partners are Bristol Energy and Western Power Distribution (WPD).

"More than 25,000 families in our city can’t afford to keep warm or cook regular hot meals," said CSE's Simon Roberts. "They are making a stark choice between heating and eating - this has to end. We want to see Bristol take up the challenge of ensuring that none of its residents suffer a cold home."

The event will run from 09.00 to 12.00 with registration and refreshments from 08.30. Please register here.

This event will be held in an Open Space format.

"We’re really interested in this event building understanding of what different organisations can do to make a difference," added Simon. "And, even more importantly, that it will stimulate more intense and collaborative initiatives to end the misery of cold homes. So join us on the day – and be prepared to join in the city wide action that will emerge from it.”
