Big Energy Saving Network
16 September 2016
Starting this month, we're embarking on another 6-month round of Big Energy Saving Network advice-giving. It'll run until March 2017, and is principally aimed at helping people find a cheaper energy company.
As before, CSE will be one among a network of local community groups and charities across Great Britain advising people on energy saving in the home and switching supplier – all to help the most vulnerable get warmer homes and lower fuel bills.
Lisa Evens is managing the project. "We'll be working across the same areas - Somerset, Bristol and Wiltshire - and as aim to raise awareness of the benefits of switching and show how easy it is. We'll encourage people to use the price-comparison sites regularly to see what offers they can get, and help them in other ways, too, such as in applying for the Warm Home Discount and signing them up to the Priority Service Register where appropriate."
Last time round we helped people save a total of £8,695 on their annual bills, with one couple knocking a handy £600 of their heating costs simply by switching supplier!
