The deadline for young people (15-17) to apply to Bright Green Future is Sunday 17 July – just two weeks away!

The national programme to provide teenagers with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take action on energy and sustainability in their future career will kick off this September.

Bridget Newbery is coordinating the programme. She said:

“It’s been very exciting to see the responses from enthusiastic young people appear in our inbox and letter trays over the past week.

“We’ve had a few enquiries about who can apply, and would like to emphasise that young people from any corner of the country can join, and that it’s free to take part.”

Over the next two years participants will be offered training, a work placement and mentoring.

The programme also involves setting up a local environmental project, which can be run with friends from your home town, village or neighbourhood, even if they're not on the programme.

There’s lots more information and an application form to download at www.bright-green-future.org.uk.
