Empowering the next generation of environmental decision makers
Applications open for our programme for young people to gain skills and influence environmental change
2 June 2016
Are you, or do you know, a young person (aged 14-17) who is:
• motivated and reliable?
• interested in sustainability and cares for the environment?
• enthusiastic about gaining new skills and knowledge?
If so, our Bright Green Future programme should be right up their street. The two-year programme is now open to applications – register now, start September 2016.
Through Bright Green Future, young people will gain knowledge and experience, meet like-minded people, and make a difference in their local area. They can start to influence how decisions are made on energy and climate change - hopefully leading to a bright career in the sector.
There’s lots more information for participants about what is invovled, including frequently asked questions and answers, on our website www.bright-green-future.org.uk.
We have spaces for 50 participants from all over the UK. Please spread word of the programme to contacts in schools or other organisations that work with young people.
The application form and a guidance booklet are also downloadable from the 'join' page on the website and the deadline for applications is Sunday 17 July.
Bright Green Future is part of a Big Lottery funded project called Our Bright Future, aimed at empowering young people to lead progressive change in their communities and local environment.
