Home energy advice for Bath & North East Somerset
Successful advice scheme set to continue for another year
14 April 2016
We’re delighted to announce that we’ll be running the Energy at Home advice service on behalf of Bath & North East Somerset Council for a second year, up until March 2017.
Local residents can use the energy efficiency scheme to access energy saving advice and home improvements. Watch this short (3-minute) about what's on offer:
Over the last 12 months, we had over 2600 enquiries, and many happy customers (the average satisfaction rating was 9 out of 10). Government funding available through the scheme in the previous financial year has been fully committed, helping 287 households install energy efficiency improvements across the area.
CSE’s Mike McClelland commented that, “feedback from householders we’ve helped has been brilliant. Word must have spread between neighbours, as demand for the service is still strong.”
Mike and Diane Hammond were some of these householders. They said: "We were very, very happy with the [external solid wall] insulation. It solved our damp problem inside. The bungalow is warmer and we’re not having to put the heating on as much, so we’re hoping we’re going to see a substantial saving in energy bills as well."
