Bristol Smart Energy City Collaboration: Year 1 report
Sharing progress so far ...
15 December 2015
On 14 December, CSE held a well attended event to share the progress that has been made in the first year of the Bristol Smart Energy City Collaboration (BSECC).
This is an initiative led by CSE and which forms part of our contribution to Bristol 2015 European Green Capital. The Collaboration brings together an expert cross-disciplinary core of ten organisations from the public, private, voluntary and academic sectors to join in a collective understanding and mapping-out of the steps which need to be taken over the next few years for Bristol to become a genuinely Smart Energy City.
A detailed 'progress report' entitled Towards a Smart Energy City: mapping a path for Bristol was given to the 120 delegates and is available for download here.
Attendees came from a range of sectors including local and central government, energy suppliers and distributors, universities, engineering companies and NGOs.
The three diagrammatic 'road maps' on pages 30-35 of the report are also available as A3 spreads:
Road map 1: Using smart energy data to curb energy waste and peak demand
Road map 2: Enhancing the value of local renewable generation
Road map 3: Smarter ways to tackle fuel poverty and associated vulnerabilities
