Training – Home energy advice & signposting people

Sessions for frontline workers in Bath & North East Somerset

6 March 2015

Many people in Bath and North East Somerset are living with the misery of cold homes and unaffordable energy bills. It is important to be able to identify these people and to know how to signpost them to advice and support to make their homes warmer, healthier and more comfortable.

The new B&NES Energy at Home Advice Service offers a wide range of energy related guidance and can help residents find out what grants, finance and additional support is available. The Centre for Sustainable Energy, who manage the advice service, are offering free training for anyone who works with people that could benefit from a referral to this, and other, support services.

The session covers

  • How to spot the signs of people at risk of fuel poverty, or who are living in a cold home
  • What advice, support and funding is available
  • How, when and where to refer people
  • Simple energy advice messages

Wednesday 18 March | 10am - 11.30am | Percy Community Centre, Bath, BA1 2BN
