(For venue information go to www.dsc.org.uk)
The Urban Community Energy Fund (UCEF) is a government grant and loan scheme for groups who wish to develop renewable energy projects of significant scale, for the benefit of their wider community.
This one-day event aims to get community groups ready to make an application to UCEF by providing access to a range of experts, which will help them to produce a more focused application. There will also be more general information sessions on the fund and the support available.
- Community consultation
- Renewable energy
- Legal advice
- Financial advice
- Technology specific advice
- Grid connection
- Planning consent and permits
To help us to provide the most suitable advice, groups should indicate the areas in which they most need support in as much detail as possible when applying for a place. Other experts may be invited in response to requests for specific support outside the areas of expertise already on offer – you can note your needs on the application form.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided and there are small discretionary travel bursaries for attendees who are based a significant distance from London, and who would not otherwise be able to attend, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please also note that we're intending to run a second event in the new year in the North of England. When we have details we'll shout all about it in the usual places - enews, Twitter etc.
