Host your own CSE-led draught-busting presentation

Got six friends and a venue? Then get in touch ...

13 January 2012

If you can find a handful of next-door neighbours, friends or fellow community group members who’d like to know more about draught-proofing their home, you can now call on CSE’s team of trained ‘draught-busters’ to come out and tell you more.

The offer is open to anyone who can find at least six attendees and provide a suitable venue - and could appeal to community groups, advice centres, housing associations, tenant organisations and similar bodies, as well as informal groups of friends and neighbours across Bristol.

CSE’s Bristol Volunteers Get Energy team will deliver a tailored presentation on a subject of the groups chosing, such as reading meters and setting heating controls; energy outreach; energy basics; and practical draught-busting.

"We're very accommodating" says Verity Saunders, who manages CSE’s team of draught-busters. "We're available to carry out the presentations on evenings or weekends – and may even be able to host the session for you, if you are struggling to find a suitable venue."

The Bristol Volunteers Get Energy project has already had a considerable impact on volunteers across the city, with more than 200 friends, family, neighbours and community members taking part in the Draught-busting Saturday event, which was held late last year.
