CSE seeks funding from new initiative to support energy projects
4 October 2011
As a national expert in supporting community energy projects, CSE is already doing plenty to help create successful energy projects – but we want to do more, especially on our own patch.
And to do so, we need your help.
Voting has opened for the NatWest CommunityForce, an initiative offering £6,000 in funding to support people, projects and charities which make a difference in their community. And CSE is eager to be a part of this.
If successful, we will use the funding to provide mentoring and training to help community groups over the difficult first stages of an energy project. This would include in-depth sessions on gaining the broadest support throughout the community, choosing the right renewable energy technology and site, getting planning permission, and financing and managing projects effectively, along with follow-up support for community groups.
You can see our full Community Force profile and intentions, here.
To be successful, we need your support. With nearly 6,000 projects listed for the initiative, only so many can be successful which is why we’re asking people to spend a few minutes registering with the site and backing our bid. Once you’ve registered and voted, you will also have two more votes – so why not see what other initiatives are taking place in your area which are worth your support?
Voting closes on 23 October.
