Is there draught-busting going on in your neighbourhood?
Check out CSE’s event later this month

Family homes and community buildings across Bristol will play host to the city’s first draught-busting Saturday later this month, as community energy advisors from CSE’s Bristol Volunteers Get Energy project seek to pass on their draught-busting knowledge.
Project manager Verity Saunders is keen for this event, taking place on Saturday 29 October, to be as big as can be.
“We’re encouraging as many of our advisors as possible to get involved and organise their own draught-busting event either at home, or at the home of a friend or neighbour. They can even host one at a nearby community building,” she said.
“Every individual who attends one of the sessions on Saturday 29 will receive a draught-busting kit worth £20 in value to help get them started,” Verity added.
CSE is hosting its own free draught-busting training session on Wednesday 12 October from 17.00 to 20.30, to provide community energy advisors with all the information, resources and expertise they’ll need for the ‘draught-busting Saturday’ event.
In addition, there will be an ‘energy basics training’ session on Wednesday 26 October at CSE’s offices (from 16.00-18.30) and ‘reading meters and setting controls’ on Tuesday 15 November (venue and time TBC).
If you want to book a place on any one of these sessions, would like some more information about what they entail, or if there’s a specific area that you would like to receive training on, then please email or call 0117 934 1400.
Draught-busting Saturday is supported by Bristol City Council as part of European Year of Volunteering 2011.
