Access to resources helps to make a bigger impact
CSE website gives free access to hundreds of resources
4 May 2010
Thousands of visitors every month are taking advantage of the free reports, toolkits, project profiles and links to further information and data which CSE makes available on its website (www.cse.org.uk).
Visitors to the site can find our reports and publications at www.cse.org.uk/publications, including our recent study revealing that what people actually want from a smart meter display is very different from what virtually all manufacturers are currently producing (see: http://tinyurl.com/displaypreferences).
CSE-developed toolkits are also available on the website, like the Local Authority Carbon Management Matrix, designed to help local authorities assess for themselves how well their current activities influence local carbon emissions.
And at www.cse.org.uk/weblinks there are links to other websites set up by CSE to serve particular needs, like www.planningrenewables.org.uk which provides a single point of access to information about renewable energy for planning professionals and decision-makers in England.
CSE’s Chief Executive, Simon Roberts, explains the charity’s approach: “By sharing our knowledge and experience and by making our resources freely available we hope we can have much more impact. People can take what we’ve done and use it, learn from it, copy it, apply it in their own situation. With so much work to be done to cut carbon emissions and tackle the misery of cold homes, it doesn’t make sense to keep valuable information to ourselves.”
The website also features latest news from CSE and details of virtually all of our projects and initiatives.
