Long-distance learning for planners and councillors
Webinars provide on-line, low-carbon training in planning for renewable energy
2 March 2010
Two webinars to be broadcast on-line later this month will give planners and councillors the opportunity to attend re-runs of planning workshops held last year, but without having to travel to a venue many miles from their homes or places of work.
The first webinar, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, takes place on Tuesday 9 March and will be led by Rebecca Knight from Land Use Consultants. This is followed by Planning Conditions on Monday 15 March led by David Hardy from Cobbetts LLP. Both sessions start at 10.00 and finish at 12.00.
The webinars are organised by CSE and complement a series of ‘planning for renewables’ workshops, which are managed by CSE in association with the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG). Attendees of the workshops described the speakers as “excellent” and said the events were full of “useful information”.
The webinars are easy to catch – just contact Kirsty Mitchell by email or by phone on 0117 934 1400 or to book a place in advance. You’ll be given details on how to log in and join other participants following the webinar from your own computer.
