Launch of new retrofit directory for Wiltshire homeowners
Connecting homeowners and professionals to improve home energy efficiency
Some homeowners working our Futureproof home retrofit service tell us finding contractors can be a challenge. Especially as more homeowners seek to make their homes energy efficient, and demand for skilled tradespeople goes up.
The Wiltshire Retrofit Directory is here to help. The new website simplifies the process to find, contact and book services to help increase the number of energy-saving and low-carbon measures installed in Wiltshire and Swindon homes.
The directory is simple to use. You can view multiple businesses at once easily finding the services they offer and their location. You can also get their contact details and information on accreditations they hold. This makes the process of choosing the right installer hassle-free.
Whether you’re embarking on a small-scale project or a full home retrofit, let Wiltshire Retrofit Directory guide you towards a warmer, more energy efficient home.

About the Wiltshire Retrofit Directory and wider project
The Wiltshire Retrofit Directory has been developed by the Centre for Sustainable Energy (CSE) in partnership with Wiltshire Council, Swindon Borough Council and Wiltshire Climate Alliance. It’s part of a bigger project that aims to help people make energy saving improvements to their homes. The project draws on the expertise of Futureproof, a service created by CSE to give homeowners independent, expert advice. The project is also helping local community groups to build their ability to give retrofit advice through training and mentoring.
This is just one of the innovative projects being delivered across England through the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator programme to explore new approaches to local in-person energy advice. The projects are funded by the government and supported by the Net Zero Hubs – in Wiltshire it’s the South West Net Zero Hub.
