New funding

A few new exciting funding opportunities have come to our attention! If you are on the hunt for financing for your community energy project or group, check to see if you might be eligible for support from these schemes.

MCS Charitable Foundation Grants – The charitable arm of the Microgeneration Certification Scheme are offering grants of up to £100,000 to support a wide range of projects that advance their mission to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy and low carbon technologies. Multiple deadlines throughout the year. Applicants are encouraged to fill in an initial enquiry form before being invited to make a full application.

Biffa Partnership Grants Scheme – Biffa are offering grants of between £250,000 and £750,000 to support large-scale projects of regional or national significance. Community/renewable energy projects might be eligible within either of the two funding categories: Built Environment and Natural Environment. Online Expressions of Interest welcome.

NFU Mutual Community Giving Fund – Grants of up to £1,000 are available to support projects that meet one or more of the Fund’s priorities: connecting the community, providing care to vulnerable members of the community, relieving poverty and improving the health/wellbeing of communities, advancing education for young people. Priority given to requests that are supported by NFU Mutual staff members or one of their local branch offices/beneficiaries that have not been given funds previously.
