SSEN Energy Advisor Programme

Everyone deserves a home which is warm, comfortable and affordable to heat.

Were are working in partnership with Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) to support anyone in the company’s Southern region (see map) who may need help with energy bills or keeping warm at home. 

So please get in touch if you’re:

  • Struggling to afford your energy bills.
  • Living in a home that is cold, damp or draughty. 
  • Unsure about how to best use your heating system or find it confusing.
  • Interested in funding for insulation or heating systems.

Our free, impartial advice and support includes:

  • Keeping your gas and electricity bills down: guidance on fuel bills, switching supplier, using heating controls, and what different electrical appliances cost to run.
  • Practical advice on how to reduce condensation, damp and mould in your home. 
  • Maximising your income by managing energy debt and claiming Warm Home Discount applications, water company discounts and any benefits you're entitled to.
  • Helping you get funding for energy improvements such as insulation and heating systems, including broken boilers.
  • Signing up to the Priority Services Register for extra help and support during a power cut.

Priority Services Register

If you live in the green or blue areas, we can sign you up to your local priority services register if you're over 60 or you rely on electricity for medical or mobility reasons or you have a hearing or visual impairment or a long-term health condition.
