Training for energy advice providers
Our training for energy advice providers has enabled them to give useful, accurate advice to householders on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
As pioneers of the first energy advice phoneline in the early 1990s, CSE developed training and support to the Energy Saving Trust advice centres, including creating the Renewable Energy Handbook, a 200-page detailed technical resource used to train advice centre staff across England, Scotland and Wales.
If you are interested in training a group of people to provide home energy advice, we can provide a bespoke course suitable for home energy advisors and CERT assessors. Course content includes: conducting door-to-door surveys; helping householders access insulation grants; defining and tackling fuel poverty; heat loss and insulation; heating and hot water systems; an introduction to benefits; and delivering safe, effective home visits. We are not currently running open access courses on these topics.
CSE is a training provider for the NEA City & Guilds in Energy Awareness, a three-day accredited course which individuals and organisations can book directly with NEA.
