Engaging householders in Bristol and Somerset

Service level agreements

CSE has Service Level Agreements (SLAs) set up with eight of the nine local authorities in the Bristol and Somerset area*. These are a mechanism for delivering a range of activities tailored to the needs of the council, and through them we undertake a range of initiatives to tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions.

Activities include outreach events to reach householders, the training of other professionals and promotion of energy saving.

Getting out and about

We like meeting the public and our Advice, Education & Community team are friendly, approachable, engaging and knowledgable. We can be found at large county shows and small local community events, in shopping centres, town centres, health centres and sport centres, in doctors' surgeries, flu-jab clinics and prisons, and festivals, carnivals and fetes. In fact anywhere where people gather.

We also do presentations to community groups and school workshops on energy efficiency and renewable energy.

CSE can also provide training sessions to those such as occupational therapists, debt advisors and other professionals who work with vulnerable clients, helping them to identify those living in fuel poverty and to know what steps to take to alleviate the problem.

Finally we can deliver a package of marketing activities to help promote energy awareness and support local services and projects, for example the South West Energy Saving Trust advice centre and the Warm Streets scheme.
