The services we currently offer include:

  • telephone and email advice
  • technical and on-site support
  • training and workshop delivery
  • printed resources and event kits

Energy training for communities in Bristol & Somerset

Below, CSE's James Mullen undertakes energy audits at two community buildings in Somerton. The first is the local infants school, the second a multi-purpose building known as the 'Parish Rooms'. This energy audit was done through our Renewable energy in Levels & Moors project.

In July 2011 we produced a report on behalf of Bristol City Council and funded by the Department for Energy and Climate Change that looks at the community energy sector in Bristol and aims to provide detailed capacity profiles of community energy groups in the city to identify key support needs and make recommendations for actions to support the sector in future.

Daniel Oliver, director of the Bristol Energy Co-op, reckons it's pretty good. "I think this piece of work is brilliant – a useful tool for us and others" he said. Download the report here.

And visual-spatial types may like this interactive map of Bristol's community energy groups. It's evidently very popular, having had over 9,000 views (as of March 2012).
