Places are still available on the training courses run by Community Action for Energy (CAfE) — the programme managed by CSE on behalf of the Energy Saving Trust.
Brief course details, dates and venues are listed below.
CAfE's training courses are designed to support people working on sustainable energy projects in the community and are free to members of the CAfE network. There is no charge for joining the network.
1) Making it happen:
A one-day training course for energy professionals and representatives from the community and voluntary sector to meet potential project partners and take part in hands on, practical planning exercises. You'll examine the challenges of running a community based sustainable energy project, learn new project planning skills and refresh existing skills.

2) Finding out about energy:
A one-day course for community groups and individuals to learn about energy efficiency, sustainable energy use and renewable energy technologies. This one-day course will show you how community energy projects can play an important role in reducing CO2 emissions and how you can get involved.

3) Funding:
This one-day training course will assist members of the Community Action for Energy network in the development of successful bids for community funding. In particular, the training will assist members in the identification of sources for community funding, as well as the writing and submission of bids. Primarily aimed at network members who are working (paid or voluntary) in the community energy sector.

4) Planning for success:
A follow-up to Making it happen', this one-day training course is for members with existing community energy projects who want to make the most of their ideas and expertise, maximise help available and secure on-going funding.
