CAfE Training - Still a Chance to Book your Place!
CAfE Training - Still a Chance to Book your Place!
Valuable training for sustainable energy communities.
1 December 2004
"I am now using new knowledge of energy issues gained through an enjoyable and interesting day" — so said one happy delegate on one of the recent CAfE training courses.
The courses are now well under way, but there is still a chance to book your place for the remaining dates. There are two sorts, both offering a valuable chance to develop project-planning skills and hear how sustainable energy initiatives can help both you and your community.
If you work in your community at the moment, for example in a community group, as a volunteer or in a tenants group, both courses are for you. Finding Out About Energy will give you a basic introduction to sustainable energy and how it can benefit you and the people you meet. It's a fun and interactive day that will give you lots of useful new information that could boost the work you do. Once you know those basics and want to go further, Making It Happen offers the chance to find out how to set up an effective project and make partnerships that will help your own community.
If you're already working in the energy world, perhaps as an adviser or for a local authority, then Making It Happen is for you. This unique day will build your project-planning skills and will help you make links with your local community to work effectively together.
To find out about the remaining courses, visit www.est.co.uk/cafe or call the CAfE team on 08701 261 444. Bursaries are available to help pay for the course and travel costs.
